The new Herbold 35/42c Disintegrator from Herbold Meckesheim USA meets NSA/CSS specification 02-02 for High Security Disintegrators, and it has been approved for the secure destruction of paper, punched key tape and optical media for rates up to 750 pounds per hour.This unit features adjustable rotor knives which keep a constant distance from the screen, improves output rate and reduces the volume of fines/dust. With 3/4" of knife regrind, this unit provides twice the amount of resharpening than it's competitive units. An outside knife jig provides safe and easy access for setting knives, thus reducing maintenance time. Routine service and inspection is also made safe and easy with an integrated opening jack.

	Knife Value Herbold Disintegrator knives have twice the amount of sharpening than competition. Other units offer 5/16"- 3/8" of a inch regrind capability whereas the Herbold Disintegrator knives offer 3/4" of grinding surface. So the other brands may give you a spare set with the machine but with the knives in the unit and the Herbold spare set its like having 4 sets of knives - big value!
	Feed Hopper Conversion Herbold Disintegrator's feed hopper can be converted from hand feed to conveyor feed with a switch of a supplied feed chute making the unit versatile. The competition unit requires a special hopper and sound enclosure requiring lots of money and new pieces.
	Adjustable rotor knives Provides constant distance between the rotating knives and security screen. This reduces dust generation, output as the cutting circle remains the same no matter how many times the knives are sharpened. Competitive units as the knives are sharpened the distance from the security screen grows allowing more build up of material on top of the screen which lowers the rate as the knives are reduced in length and creates more dust because of it.
	Service Access 1) The competitive unit has no access above the cutting rotor. The Herbold 35/42 hinges above the rotor providing full access and again is much safer. 2) These models include a mechanical winch for opening vs. competition that has a manual lifting. The Herbold Disintegrators are more operator/technical friendly and safe.3) All of the Herbold Disintegrator access points have non tamper proof limit switches vs. competition unit does not (it still uses old style push button switches). Again, the non tamper proof limit switches on the Herbold models are more safe.

Any claim on account of defective materials or for any other cause whatsoever shall conclusively be deemed waived by Purchaser unless written notice thereof is given to Seller promptly after discovery of the alleged defect, and in any event no later than twelve months from shipment. Seller shall have the right either to replace or repair any defective materials, to refund the purchase price upon return of the material or to grant a reasonable allowance on account of such defects, and Seller's liability and Purchaser's exclusive remedy for defective materials shall be limited solely to replacement, repair, refund or allowance as Seller may elect. This warranty will not apply if damages are caused by repairs made by anyone other than the Seller without prior authorization from the Seller, lead seals have been removed, specified checks not having been made, parts subject to normal wear and tear, such as V-belts, bearings, knives, screens etc., improper or inadequate maintenance or improper use. Seller will not be liable for goods supplied by its subcontractors but agrees to assign to Purchaser all warranties of such subcontractors to Seller or enforce such warranties on Purchaser's behalf.
